Tell us about yourself in a tweet.

I am a woman after God’s heart. I love music, beauty, the beach and helping women become confident in who God designed her to be.

Where are you from?

I am a military child and spouse, so I have lived in many states but I was born and raised mostly in southern Germany.

What brought you to LA?

I came to LA for two reasons: to attend Seminary and for the opportunity to finally live in the place I had dreamed of living since I was a young girl. As we get older, there are things you just feel like you need to do and living in LA was one of them for me.

What’s your favorite thing about LA?

What I love most about LA is the culture of the city. It’s so diverse, you can easily be in a whole new culture through delicious foods and the arts. Also, I am connected to the water. It is where I connect to God the most and as we know the LA area has some beautiful beaches.

Who is your favorite person in LA?

I would say my favorite person in LA is my Pastor, Judah Smith. Every Wednesday night I drive 1.5 hours from Orange County to Beverly Hills to hear him speak and be with my church community. His messages are relevant and inspiring. It’s like my “cocaine hit” for the week. To top it off he makes us laugh while teaching us life changing principles in a difficult world. I leave every Wednesday inspired and ready to take on the world!

What has been your favorite LA experience?

I would say my favorite experience in LA was attending the screening of “Purple Rain” the night it became a part of the Oscars library of films. It was a bittersweet moment because Prince, my favorite artist of all time, is no longer with us.

That nigh,t many from the movie’s cast and crew shared their experiences while working on the film. It was great to see some of the people to helped define a lot of who I was in my early 20’s and I was able to say, “Thank you.” It was an incredible night, the energy and love in the room was powerful!

What inspired you to be a makeup artist?

Prince inspired me to at the age of 12 to become a makeup artist. I really wanted to be a singer at first and decided that if Prince didn’t discover me for my singing talent, he would definitely discover me as a makeup artist to the stars.

Then reality set in and I worked a real job until I was 40 years old and decided to quit my high paying corporate job to go for my dreams. Ever since then, God has used my love for makeup and my skills as a coach to help women transform how they see themselves and what they believe is possible for their lives.

What is your best beauty advice?

My first beauty advice is to work on your soul. What I mean by that, is know who God says you are and forget the lies of the world. Forget what people have said about you, because it’s not true.

When you know that the creator made you perfect, whole and complete just as you are, then real beauty can begin on the inside can begin to emerge. Beauty doesn’t stop there; it is a package. How you show up on the outside is a reflection of who you are on the inside. Not recognizing this can cost you opportunities in life. While inner beauty is important; people judge us on what they see first. It’s a tough reality.

So put on a little makeup and express yourself in style. Get to know who you are and fall in love her. When you love yourself, you can love others and trust me, it’s very attractive.

What does beauty mean to you?

True beauty isn’t a woman’s looks as much as it is her essence – her soul. I have found that a woman many may consider physically, “unattractive” to be very beautiful because of her attitude, grace, confidence, style and her heart to serve others. A lot of women can wear makeup and a good outfit but not many can really have both. That’s why true beauty is an inside-out job.
