5 Amazing Things That Happened at the IDEA World Convention

Idea World Convention

The IDEA World Convention is a health and fitness conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown LA that took place last week. It was basically a huge mixup of brands in the health and fitness space including Propel, who I’m working with to promote their #MadetoMove campaign. I wanted to share with you the 5 amazing things that happened at the IDEA World Convention.

Workouts, workouts and more workouts

There was probably a different workout happening every hour in several different rooms, you can not run out of workouts to choose from at this convention. Propel hosted a workout with celebrity trainer, Gunnar Peterson and team and it was pretty brutal. I had worked out with Propel, Gunnar and team the day before and I was still recovering, but I toughed it out anyways. Here’s me doing the “Katniss.”

The workout consisted of four circuits and using resistance bands and doing high-intensity interval training moves. It was definitely challenging and I had to keep hydrating and drinking Propel to keep my body going.

Fitness bloggers galore

Another part of the convention was BlogFest, led by Fit Approach. They created a program for fitness and lifestyle bloggers with advanced blogging courses, celebrity workouts and even set up meetings with brands. I was able to meet so many bloggers in the fitness industry and even learned a few tricks on Snapchat, thanks to Katie Dunlop of Love Sweat Fitness. Here are my fellow Propel brand ambassadors taking swigs a the beach.

A bulging swag bag

Because I was part of BlogFest, I was able to score a huge swag bag of fitness goodies including Vega protein, Vital Proteins collagen, and more. I think I might be set for life with the amount of protein powder I currently have here.

Party like a fitness star

There was a huge party on Thursday night and because the fitness crowd has so much energy and stamina, the dance floor was pretty crazy. There was a Bollywood group that kept filling halls and dancing throughout the convention and they were getting their groove on at the dance floor.

Hanging out with fitness friends

My favorite part of the convention was hanging out with my fellow bloggers who were also invited by Propel to the convention. We had an amazing four-hour meal one night, because we were just having a great time and great conversation. We worked out together, did yoga poses together (of course!), and enjoyed some lovely meals. We’ll definitely be keeping in touch and talking more about how we stay fit and healthy.

IDEA World Conference

Overall, the IDEA World Convention was such a great experience and I look forward to doing some of the workouts on my own and also getting through all that protein powder. Stay healthy!
