The Official LA Girl Fall Bucket List

Fall Bucket List

It’s comfy sweaters, pumpkin spice, and chai season! We may have outgrown trick-or-treating, but I’d venture to say that fall is even more fun as an adult (spiked apple cider? Yes please!). From the spooky to the cozy, here is the official LA girl fall bucket list.

Take a Haunted Hayride

It’s the 10 year anniversary of the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride! Ride the titular spooky hayride, explore haunted mazes, or snap a photo on the Scary-Go-Round.

Visit Mr. Bones’ Pumpkin Patch

Stock up on your carving pumpkins and explore all that Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch has to offer. Take killer (pun intended) Instagram photos at the Pumpkin Village or cuddle up with some baby goats at the petting zoo.

Get Spooked at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Who’s ready to get scared? Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights is spookier than ever this year with 8 creepy mazes, including an all-new Stranger Things themed maze. Universal is offering a special if you purchase a day and Horror Nights pass together, so why not make it an all-day event?

Sip on a Fall Cocktail

Does anything smell more heavenly than warm cider with a sprinkle of cinnamon? BRB, leaving work to locate one of these and a cozy blanket. Get in the fall mood with a Hot Apple Cider from The Pikey or a Signora Rosa from Love & Salt.

Escape a Haunted Maze at Knott Scary Farm

Every fall Knott’s Berry Farm transforms into Knott Scary Farm, a creepy carnival with haunted mazes, scare zones, and of course, rides.

Attend Horror Movie Festival Screamfest

Sometimes referred to as the “Sundance of Horror”, Screamfest is LA’s premiere scary movie festival. Major horror classics have been discovered at this event (ever heard of a little movie called Paranormal Activity?) and showcases the work of horror film creators around the city. This year the festival runs from October 9-18, so get your tickets now!

Attend a Football Game

…or just tailgate like I do. Nothing screams “fall” like grilling on a chilly day before a big game. Root for UCLA or grab tickets for an NFL game!

Drink Beer at Oktoberfest DTLA

On October 20 and 21st, skip the spooky and let loose at Oktoberfest in Downtown LA! Admission is only $5, bonus points if you wear lederhosen.

Find the Perfect Halloween Costume

Throwing on cat ears and calling it a day? Not in LA! You can’t be caught in a sub-par costume in the city that’s built its name on entertainment. Check out some of LA’s best costume shops like Aahs! in West Hollywood for a creative costume that no one else will have.

Ready to celebrate all things autumn? Warm up with some of the best coffee around LA!
