Great Horror Movie Night At Griffith Park’s Old Zoo: March 3

Who said you have to wait until October to get your spook on? Griffith Park’s Old Zoo offers horror movie screenings and this month, it starts off with a screening of John Carpenter’s “The Thing” on March 3rd. The thrills continue with roaming monsters who lurk around while you’re watching the film and even a fun pre-show with games and prizes in store. It’s a great event for the whole family to enjoy, but also make sure that the movie rating is good for your little kiddo to join along. There will also be another showing on March 17th of “Leprechaun.”

Women Who Shaped Pasadena Walking Tour: March 4

Inspiring and a great way to celebrate some impactful women, join the Women Who Shaped Pasadena walking tour at the Pasadena Central Library. The event is open to all ages and gives attendees an exciting insight into the women who were inspired by Pasadena. The walking tour will also take place on March 5th at 4:00 PM on both days. Another amazing part about this event is that it’s free!

One thing you may hear every Los Angeleno say is that he / she wants to experience a day of snow, and now, you can get your ski gear ready and head on over for a terrific day at the Palihouse. At TDR’s 2nd Annual Après Ski LA, you’ll be able to get some drinks, enjoy some games, and have a blast all while decked out in your best ski attire (without the need of actually going skiing). TDR is a matchmaking company, so this event is also a great place to meet a potential partner or a new friend and the best place to mingle.

A Day Without A Woman: March 8

After the great success of the Women’s March in January, where women (and men) came out to show their support towards gender equality and women’s rights, the impactful movement continues with “A Day Without A Woman.” The strike will be taking place on a very significant day, International Women’s Day. You can participate in many ways, whether it is through joining the strike, women can take a day off from work, or even by wearing red in solidarity with women.

The Los Angeles Farmer’s Market will be serving some delicious, traditional St. Patty’s Day meals that your stomach will be thanking you for.

According to the event’s website, Pottercon New York City and Pottercon Memphis garnered close to 3,500 Harry Potter fans. LA Nature Fest: March 18 – March 19

Who doesn’t love to spend some time and enjoy nature? The National History Museum is definitely one place that everyone needs to visit here in Los Angeles, and what better time to do so than during the LA Nature Fest! Over two days – March 18th and 19th, attendees will have the chance to get up close and personal with all of the beautiful things we appreciate in nature. LA Marathon: March 19

One event in March that you must not miss out on is the LA Marathon. An event that gathers around 25,000 runners, it will certainly be something you would want to experience at least once in your lifetime. The LA Marathon starts at Dodgers Stadium and ends at Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. Whether you’re running in the marathon or watching and cheering the participants on, it will definitely be an unforgettable experience for everyone who attends.

Ever since the hit show, Game of Thrones made its way onto our TV screens, we all have been nothing short of obsessed. It has become everyone of all ages’ favorite show. With extraordinary music and breathtaking stage designs, you definitely need to get your tickets for the Game of Thrones live concert experience taking place at The Forum on March 23rd.

CicLAvia: March 26

Grab your bikes, scooters, and anything with wheels (except for cars) as CicLAvia is coming to Culver City. This fun-filled event is not only a good way to get some exercise in, but it’s also a marvelous experience to enjoy with friends as you head out for a bike ride from Culver City to Venice Beach. The event was inspired by the Ciclovías in Colombia. The streets will be closed down, so all attendees will be able to feel the LA breeze rush up their skin as they bike ride down to Venice.

Wondercon: March 31

What better way to end off the month of March and welcome in the month of April than with a spectacular convention celebrating all things comics, anime, movies, gaming, and more. Comic Con International is bringing this excellent three-day event to the Anaheim Convention Center from March 31st – April 2nd.
