And with July being a jam-packed month, including our very own LA Girl Society events, and especially more upcoming events for foodies, the summer vibe is alive! So without further ado, here are 16 amazing things to do in LA in July 2017!

Anime Expo: July 1-July 4

Join thousands of fans at the Los Angeles Convention Center for four days of panels, cosplay and other special events! It’s $60 for a one day pass and $115 for a four-day pass! Also, a wing is dedicated strictly to gaming – both electronic and card- based.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert: July 6

Get out your wands fellow wizards and witches and don’t miss the Harry Potter concert at the Hollywood Bowl! Experience the second film in the series on the big screen while unforgettable music is performed live-to-picture. Sport your house gear and don’t forget your broomstick because the show promptly starts at 8pm!

Rebel Rebel: July 6-27

The Hammer Museum and KCRW Summer Nights have teamed up for a series of free concerts that put women on center stage. The performances will run for four consecutive Thursdays!

Ziplining in the San Gabriel Mountains: July 9

Zip through nature with this event hosted by The LA Girl which brings together a wonderful group of ladies for a 3.5 hour Canopy Tour zipline adventure! It’s as high as 306 ft, 1500 ft long, and reach speeds up to 55 mph!

South Bay Greek Festival : July 14-16

Haven’t you heard Toula Portokalos being told to “put some windex on it?” Haha! Immerse yourself in the lively culture presented from My Big Fat Greek Wedding with music, games, dancing and most importantly delicious Greek eats! One day tickets at $2 and they also offer coupons. Opa!

Disney D23: July 14-16

If you can’t get enough of Mickey Mouse then don’t miss this “Comic-con” for Disney. No Disney fanatic should miss this! It’s truly a magical experience fit for all ages!

DineLA: July 14-28

What’s a better way to celebrate food then eating your way across LA? DineLA is hosting a variety of restaurants with deals on prix-fixe dinners and lunches ranging from $25-$95! Everything from BorderGrill in DTLA to CUT By Wolfgang Puck will participating. Don’t miss out!

The OC Fair: Starting July 14

The OC Fair is back this summer! So be sure to bring your friends and family and go on all the stomach churning rides as well as experience all the other festivities. But most importantly, don’t forget to try all the deep fried goodies, yum!! Admission varies from $7-$14.

Women’s Self- Defense Class: July 15

Learn some self-defense tactics from experts at Level Up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with fellow members of The LA Girl Society! Tickets are just $25 with 50% of the proceeds going to charity.

Lotus Festival: July 15-16

Get out and smell the flowers by celebrating the bloom of Echo Park Lake’s beloved floating flowers! There will be plenty of food and music, dragon boat races and, the lotus flower beds in full bloom. This year, the 37th, will honor the Bangladeshi community.

Taste of Farmers Market: July 18

Did someone say free food? Yes, this free event held at The Original Farmers Market at the Grove hosts  vendors that provide you with food to mimic a four-course meal. A showcase of over fifty restaurants and the like help you taste every corner of Los Angeles and the globe in under four hours! Need I say more?

626 Night Market: July 21-23

I hope you’re hungry because I am! This is every midnight snackers’ dream! Sample a wide array of Asian goodies like ramen burgers, dumplings and more! It’s $3 on Fridays & Sundays and $5 on Saturdays.

FYF Fest: July 21-23

FYF Fest is the place to be when talking about Cali festivals! This year, headliners include Missy Elliott, Björk, Frank Ocean, and Nine Inch Nails. They have added a third day and passes range from $109-$549!

US Open of Surfing: Starting July 29

Catch some waves alongside surfing’s most elite, who compete for big money while wowing 200,000 beach-goers with their skill and board designs. The festivities also include live bands, a sports expo and after-parties!

Summer Pool Party: July 30
